The purpose of The Heritage Committee is to discover, preserve, and share the history of the African American residents of Middlesex County, Virginia, with an emphasis on the  people, places, and the cultural/social life within the geographic area of Cook’s Corner and environs, including the educational history of the African American community in Middlesex County, Virginia.
